What The F*cculent! - Kate's Greeting Card
Goes perfectly with these
When you don’t know what to say, send a card
These cards were developed for the times when life deals a crappy hand and you want to tell your friend or family that you love and support them. Words can be hard but cards make it easier to share how you feel. Maybe it’s to break the ice, or have a cathartic laugh about something terrible. There’s a card for every feeling.
The artwork was done by Kate McDonald, a proud Aboriginal woman who was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in 2017. Throughout treatment she used art and crafts to stay focused, purposeful and heal trauma. It was a welcome distraction from the daily life of chemo and side effects as well as the inevitable fate she faced.
Kate loved succulents, and found great joy in tending to her garden. This quote resonated well and made me chuckle quite a bit - it's definitely something I can imagine Kate laughing at as well.
Kate died in 2021 from breast cancer after living out her f*%k it list and ensuring she raised awareness for advanced breast cancer and the low 5 year survival rate. She regularly arranged fundraisers for her favourite charity Love Your Sister.
To ensure her wonderful zest for life lived on, I created these cards with her artwork, handwriting and dark sense of humour. $2 from every card sold will be donated to Kate’s legacy fund with Love Your Sister, which you can view the status here.
